Data migration

Import from Bitrix24

If you are switching to SalemAI from Bitrix24, you can transfer contacts, leads, deals, and tasks with a single click. The migration wizard first runs a dry run (without changing anything in your CRM), shows how many records will be imported, and only then, after your confirmation, starts the real import.

#What will be imported

The wizard transfers four types of records:

  • Contacts — with email, phone, job title, and company
  • Leads — with source, status, and owner
  • Deals — with name, amount, stage, and linked contacts
  • Tasks — with description, due date, and assignee

#Step 1. Create an inbound webhook in Bitrix24

The webhook URL is the address SalemAI will use to read your data. It takes a minute to create in the Bitrix24 admin panel.

  1. 1

    Open the "Developer resources" section

In the left-hand Bitrix24 menu, find "Applications" or go straight to "Developer resources" → "Other" → "Inbound webhook".

  2. 2

Grant the crm and tasks permissions

In the webhook creation form, check the boxes for "crm" (reading contacts, leads, deals) and "tasks". The other permissions are not needed — this limits access.

  3. 3

    Save and copy the URL

After saving, Bitrix24 will show the "REST API call URL" — a long string like https://your-portal.bitrix24.ru/rest/1/abcd123.../ Copy it in full: this is your webhook URL.

#Step 2. Open the migration wizard

The wizard is in SalemAI settings, in the "Migration" section.

In the dashboard's left sidebar, open "Settings" → "Migration". You will see the heading "Import from another CRM" and a four-step progress indicator: Service → Connection → Dry run → Import.

#Step 3. Wizard step 1 — "Service"

The first step has two cards: Bitrix24 and AmoCRM / Kommo. Click the Bitrix24 card — it will be highlighted with a border. Then click "Next" in the bottom-right corner.

#Step 4. Wizard step 2 — "Connection"

You will land on a screen with a "Webhook URL" field. Paste the URL you copied in step 1 and click the "Test connection" button.

After 1–2 seconds the wizard shows the result: if the connection succeeds, a green "connected" check mark appears next to it, along with the Bitrix24 portal name and the total number of records of each type (contacts / leads / deals / tasks).

#Step 5. Wizard step 3 — "Dry run"

The dry run reads data from Bitrix24 and shows how many records will be imported. Nothing is written.

Click "Start dry run". The wizard shows a progress bar and updates the counters for each record type as it goes. Once the progress reaches 100%, a report appears: how many contacts will be created, how many will be skipped as duplicates, and how many have errors.

#Step 6. Wizard step 4 — "Import"

This is the real import. Once started, the records will appear in your SalemAI CRM.

The wizard shows a yellow warning reminding you that the real transfer is about to begin. Click the orange "Start import" button.

Next comes the same progress bar as in the dry run, except now each record is actually created in SalemAI. The duration depends on the volume: ~1000 records transfer in a minute or two.

When the import finishes, a green "Open CRM" button appears at the bottom so you can jump straight to the transferred data.

#Step 7. Check the result

In the Salem CRM → "Contacts" section you will see the transferred records marked with their source. The pipeline will show deals from Bitrix24 at the same stages as before. Tasks will appear in the "Tasks" section with their due dates preserved.
